WiFi at the Knox County Health Department

 

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) has very specific requirements that must be met for compliance.  In support of a new electronic medical records initiative, the KCHD needed its providers (doctors, nurses, etc) to be able to securely access patient records.  DeltaSouth designed and deployed a secure wireless network which covers 2 floors of the KCHD.  It is physically separated from all other network traffic at the facility.  Only authorized devices gain access to the network.  Users utilize 2-factor authentication and data is protected using the highest forms of encryption while in transit and at rest.
