Our work / Knoxville City County Building
Government · Public WiFi
The Public Building Authority issued a grant-funded request for proposals to bring public WiFi to the City County Building. The network had to serve a wide mix of people — attorneys, judges, county and city employees, and members of the public — while meeting federal requirements for public internet access.
DeltaSouth was selected through the RFP, and visitors and staff alike can now get online anywhere in the building.
To support a new electronic medical records initiative, we built a secure wireless network physically separated from all other traffic — authorized devices only, two-factor authentication, and encryption in transit and at rest.
A historic club with a Donald Ross–designed course needed a clear path forward on recurring technology issues. We delivered a plan spanning telecommunications, wireless, servers, desktops and cybersecurity.
After two years of struggling with a do-it-yourself setup, the resort brought us in to start over. The new resort-wide network runs on three separate internet connections and lets the resort recoup costs by billing annual guests.
