Like most retailers, the sales staff at Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson embrace technology in order to be more efficient and provide their customers with better service. However, with individual standalone access points, different network names and spotty coverage, they were looking for something else. In addition, they wanted to give their customers access to free wireless internet while protecting their own internal network. DeltaSouth designed and deployed a wireless network which covers the showroom, warehouse, service area, shipping, the onsite restaurant (Stinkers BBQ) and outdoor concert area (The Shed). The network allows the sales staff and customers to use their devices anywhere onsite, provides content filtering, and limits guest bandwidth, all while keeping the internal network and guest devices safe.
